Dear Prof. Hamilotn,

My name is Christina and I am the Artist Outreach Coordinator for the Toronto Youth Shorts Film Festival (June 2-3, 2012). The festival provides a showcase for emerging film and video artists residing in the Greater Toronto Area. I hope you can inform students in the Multimedia program that we are currently accepting submissions of cinematic and new media work of all genres, including narrative drama, documentary, animation and experimental works that are under 20 minutes in length for consideration in our 2012 festival. The deadline to submit is April 30, 2012.

The festival is one of a kind in highlighting artists and stories from a youth perspective in the Greater Toronto Area and is a premiere event for young filmmakers to debut their work on the big screen, receive feedback from industry professionals and potentially win prizes. Some of our past jury members include Norman Wilner (VP of the Toronto Film Critics’ Association), Peter Sander (Academy Award nominated animator), Matt Guerin (Winner of Best Canadian Short, Inside Out 2009), Adam Trozzolo (Programmer, Channel Zero) and Carly Whitefield (Pleasure Dome Collective).
